Q. How many hours a day
do you need to wear your aligners？
A. You need to wear them for more than 20 hours a day.
Only take them off during meals or to brush your teeth.
Q. Can I eat with my aligners on?
A. No, if you eat with your aligners on, they might get deformed or break, so be sure to remove them when you eat.
You can only drink cool water with them on, be careful with other beverages. It is advisable to brush your teeth before putting your aligners back on.
Q. Is it painful?
A. There are individual differences in the sensation of pain, but it is often the case that it feels tight or painful, especially at the beginning of a new step.
However, most people will feel comfortable within a few days.
Q. What happens if I have cavities during the treatment?
A. Ideally, all cavities should be treated before the treatment. But if you find cavities during your treatment, you can continue the Beforedent treatment and treat your cavities, be sure to contact us before your treatment.
If after your cavity treatment your aligners don’t fit, please contact us immediately since you will need to get another set of aligners.
Q. What should I do after the treatment is over?
A. After any orthodintic treatment has been completed, the use of retainers is a very important part to preserve the same bite and smile the aligners formed. To preserve your new smile, we highly recommend you to get our custom-fit retainers.You will have to wear them 22 hours a day for the first month. After that, you can wear them overnight while you sleep. We recommend replacing your retainers every six months.
Beforedent also has a retainer for aftercare, so we recommend purchasing retainers (11,000 yen) after the treatment is completed.
